Wudinna teen battling cancer

Wudinna teenager Rhys Habermann, 17, has the battle of a lifetime on his hands after being diagnosed with bone cancer treatment.

Despite only being diagnosed just over a month ago, Rhys’ cancer is very aggressive. What started as a tumour on his hip has metastasized to his spine, legs, skull, shoulders and ribs.

Rhys’s mother Liz Habermann told the West Coast Sentinel that she blown away by the outpouring of support.

“Every part of Rhys’ diagnosis has been bad news, every doctor’s appointment was bad news and to know that we have this financial support is one less thing to worry about and it has helped us be more positive about the process.”
