“Mum used to say that when she passed away she would come back and visit us through rainbows.” Beloved hairdresser, Lisa Hill, is being remembered, and is continuing to fundraise, through a series of special rainbow events being held in her honour.
On Sat 16 July, Tammie Wilson held Lisa’s Rainbow Day, an event where residents could gather for a shampoo and blow-dry to raise money for Can Assist – Wagga Wagga. Colleagues at Dakota Hair organised a day of live music, face painting, coffee and treats. They raised over $2,000 for the organisation. Read about Lisa’s Rainbow Day in The Daily Advertiser.
Can Assist ensures that all people, regardless of where they live in NSW, have equitable access to cancer treatment and care by providing financial assistance, practical support and raising awareness.
The “rainbow team” are now gathering donations for Lisa’s Rainbow Day raffle, to be drawn on 31 July. For a small raffle ticket price, people will have the chance to win wonderful prizes donated by various generous individuals and organisations. Prizes include an Australia Zoo animal adoption valued at $50, a Farmers Hotel Bar & Bistro voucher valued at $50, 2 nights accommodation at an apartment in Tumut, and a $100 Byrnes Trailers gift card.
