Leaving a Legacy

Ian Davis, the founder of FightMND, suffers from Motor Neurone Disease himself. The doctor was diagnosed with MND in 2011 and has been doing what he can to help other struggling with the disease as well.

Although he has made progress in treating MND, Dr. Ian knows that he will not be around forever and wants to make sure that his wife Melissa and their son are well taken care of, even when he is no longer there to support them himself. Ian also wants to make sure that he has a proper gravesite that his young son can visit, even when he is much older, and remember his father.

Ian created a mycause fundraising campaign to help raise the money he wants to leave for his family to make sure they are not under any financial strain once he has passed. The community showed tremendous support for Ian and his family and donated a total of $120,926 to the campaign.
