Belmont mum Anj Aitken on a mission beyond heartbreak

Andrea ‘Anj’ Aitken is on a mission to help prepare her young family for her upcoming passing. Anj suspects that the pregnancy with Leilah, now just 4 months masked some of the symptoms of her cancer until it was too late.

Anj has two other children — Ember, 3, and Jordan, 2 — and told a journalist from the Geelong Advertiser  that her focus now is on preparing them all for a future without their mother.

“I’m just devastated for the kids, and with such a young baby. Now my thoughts are just on surviving as long as I can and hopefully boosting them up to have their own house.”
