Down Syndrome NSW is gearing up to host its annual "Step UP!" event, bringing together individuals, families, and communities in a heartwarming celebration of Down Syndrome Awareness Month. This inclusive gathering, set against the backdrop of The Domain Sydney, promises a day of family fun and awareness-raising for a noble cause.

On Sunday, October 22, from 10 am to 1 pm, participants will embark on a joyful 2km walk around the Royal Botanical Gardens, Sydney, providing breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The event is designed to foster a positive and inclusive society for individuals with Down syndrome, all while having an enjoyable time with friends and family.

The event promises an array of activities for all ages, including a warm-up and cool-down session by WeFlex, surprise visits from beloved children's characters, live performances, and music throughout the day. For foodies, there will be a cooking demonstration by former My Kitchen Rules contestant Fuzz Ali, food and coffee stalls offering crepes, paella, and Spanish sandwiches, and a chance to indulge in culinary delights.

Children can enjoy sports and games courtesy of Leap Frog, craft activities run by Bunnings NSW/ACT, face painting, and a variety of market stalls to explore. The day's festivities aim to create an inclusive environment where individuals with Down syndrome can showcase their abilities and talents.

To get involved and support this remarkable cause, visit the official event page. Whether you're participating in the walk, enjoying the activities, or simply spreading awareness, your presence at Step UP! for Down Syndrome NSW can make a profound difference in the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
