We all know that our parents can be our greatest heroes, but nothing says courage any more than a mum conquering her fear of heights. A 40-storey skyscraper building to be in fact!
Local Perth mum, Tracy Stillitano, 41, will be abseiling down the QV1 skyscraper in the Perth CBD to fundraise for Telethon Speech & Hearing (TSH) on October 30.
Tracy has found support with the TSH community when her son was diagnosed with a fluctuating hearing loss problem in 2018.
Tracy says, “Cooper’s hearing loss was affecting his speech and language and he was struggling with literacy at school. We discovered TSH offers a specialised language service for kids like Cooper to help develop their speech and language skills.”
Tracy has abseiled small cliffs when she was in high school but nothing as daring as nearly 500 feet from the ground.
“I want to raise awareness about the great work that TSH do and also raise much?needed monies to help others in the same boat as Cooper,” she says.
To date, Tracy has received 95 donations raising over $6,150 and is closing in her fundraising goal – www.mycause.com.au/page/225371/tsh?hearing?well?screaming?loudly
