MEDIA: Giant Ben reaches first town on epic bike ride

Founder of the The Giant Benjamin Project, Ben O’Neill, is on an epic cycling journey around Australia.

O'Neill aims to raise awareness of youth mental health issues and environment while fundraising for two charities: headspace and Bush Heratige Australia. "The bush is where you get headspace" says Ben, who believes in looking after the environment and our mental health equally.

Ben's cycling adventure began as an idea for spreading the word about his 2005 book, Searching For Pearls. 

After leaning Fremantle on 1 May, he has just hit the first milestone in his cycle around Australia and reached Geraldton. Read the full coverage of The Giant Ben Project's cycling journey in The West Australian.
