Lift3 Gym and Physiotherapy at Tuggerah Business Park is excited to announce the upcoming Deadlift for Dementia event. On Saturday, September 16, from 10 am to 3 pm, fitness enthusiasts and supporters of individuals living with dementia will come together to raise funds and awareness for Dementia Australia's critical support services.
In a recent interview with Coast Community News, Head Coach and Owner of Lift3, Carlie Hasell, expressed enthusiasm for the event. "We believe in the power of community. By coming together we can make an impact on those affected by dementia," Carlie said. Hasell emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "This is an exciting opportunity to show your strength while also making a meaningful contribution towards helping those living with dementia receive the care they need."
The Deadlift for Dementia event aims to raise $3,000 through event registrations and generous donations, with more than $1,000 already accumulated. National and world record champions of powerlifting will participate alongside weekend warriors and regular gym-goers, all united by their desire to make a difference. The event provides a platform for individuals to showcase their strength and actively contribute to the lives of those affected by dementia.
The event registration fee of $25 grants participants the opportunity to choose from four exciting deadlift challenges: deadlift with a barbell, trap bar deadlift, maximum repetitions in 60 seconds (trap bar or deadlift), or tandem deadlift with a barbell. These challenges are designed to engage participants of all ages and fitness levels, fostering a sense of inclusivity and camaraderie. All registrations can be made here.
