Ironman Callum Smith Starts Wave of Support for Sister

Younger brother Callum Smith was inspired to paddle 96 kms after his sister Jacinta was diagnosed with hemangioblastoma.

The tumour could have made Jacinta a quadraplegic, but after surgery and six weeks in hospital, Jacinta recovered.

Those weeks inspired Callum to complete his paddle on January 23 from Sorrento to Port Melbourne, while supporting a charity.

"I saw the pain and stress that Jacinta went through, so I thought I'd do something strenuous on my behalf and raise funds for the Brain Foundation," said Callum in an interview with the Herald Sun
