The tips you need to successfully crowdfund anything

Crowdfunding can seem like an easy way to gather some money together for your next pet project or to help a friend in need, but it actually takes some forethought and preparation.

As mycause CEO Tania Burstin told CNBC reporter Aza Wee Sile,

“You’ve got to get the basics right. Of course you’ve got to have a compelling campaign page, you’ve got to have nice images — a video is a good idea if you can. You’ve got to have a good story. Your story has to be authentic and true — and by the way, we do verify everything.”

“Really, it’s all about who you’re reaching out to and at the end of the day, it’s about extending your crowd.”
