Perth Eucalypt Home

In 1994 a house in Armadale was purchased and became known as the Eucalypt Home. With the growing need to provide quality care and supervision for recipients, a neighbouring property was then purchased in 2001, for future use.  The association also commenced holiday respite care.  This neighbouring home has since been demolished and a new home built.  The home on the original property is currently being renovated and will join the new home to make one large home.  Since 2007 the Home had 4 permanent adult residents and received another 2 at the beginning of 2015.  Respite care has now been extended to 8 recipients.

The Association employs full time staff, along with part time and casual employees to enable the provision of 24 hours a day care, seven days a week. 

Perth Workplace and Training

Commencing in 2009 in the Perth metro area, the facility has grown to 7 staff members and 9 recipients.  This arm of operation provides post-school training opportunities for people who have disabilities and are not able to work in open employment without support.  It offers Alternatives to Employment under the DSC Post School Options program where the focus is on life skills training. The other aspect within the program is supervised work contracts (paid employment). 

Eucalypt Albany 

Commencing in 2008, the Albany Support Group was an informal group providing information and support to a number of families who had children with special needs. For some years Eucalypt had been providing support and staff for workplace and training activity, and with further development in buying a property, it was deemed time to set up a formal chapter in that place. At present Albany provides Work Place & Training to 3 recipients and operates under the same setup as Perth.
