Create your personal online fundraising page
Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about your chosen cause and why you want to skydive. Remember, your potential donors will be interested in the cause, but they are primarily interested in you. Is this a personal challenge? Are you facing a fear? Or is this a bucket list experience? Make it personal and add your own text, pictures or video.
Get fundraising and reach for the sky!
Reach the minimum fundraising target of $360 to receive your 7,000ft ground rush tandem skydive or $480 to receive a 10,000ft adrenalin blasting tandem skydive. But don’t stop there, keep going and get as much as you can for your nominated cause. Remember, most charity donations are tax deductible.
Try these fundraising ideas:
-
Send individual emails to your five closest contacts and ask them for donations first. Getting your inner circle to donate to your page will help you build up some momentum. It also helps to start with the people you are most comfortable with
-
Email 10-50 close contacts (your entire circle of extended family and friends). Don't be afraid to send follow up emails! Your close friends and family won't mind hearing from you a few times
-
Promote via Social Media to anyone who will listen: Use email, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It is acceptable to frequently post updates in these channels
-
Print out some basic flyers and posters and hand them out or post them around the places you frequent
-
Ask your neighbours, local community and work colleagues to donate to your skydive
-
Ask your employer to match any funds you raise dollar for dollar
-
Find a local business willing to sponsor you and wear their logo during your jump
-
Ask your local coffee shop or bar to put up a poster and collection tin
-
If you’re fundraising for your sports club ask them to include your challenge in their newsletter and have a collection tin at the clubhouse
-
Call the local newspaper or TV crew and ask them to do a story on your skydive challenge
Fundraising Time Frame
Your Fundraising Page will be open for 30 days. If you are unable to make your target during this time all funds will be distributed to your nominated organisation. Please let us know if you need an extension by emailing admin@mycause.com.au

Before registering for 'Skydive for a Cause' please ensure:
-
You meet our age, weight and medical requirements
-
You are familiar with our beach tandem skydive experience and what is involved
-
You read our Risk Warning and Waiver below
Tandem Skydive Requirements
Participants must be 12 or over to tandem skydive. Parents or guardians must be present to sign for anyone under 18 years of age.
There is no maximum age to tandem skydive as long as you are in relative good health and can lift your legs during landing.
The maximum weight is approximately 100kg. We can assess participants slightly over that weight if they are physically fit and able.
Please call to discuss any medical conditions that may impede your ability to skydive. If you get the ok from your doctor and our safety instructor than we are happy to take you.
What to expect during your beach tandem skydive
For a genuine blast of adrenalin, our 7,000 and 10,000 feet tandem skydives will definitely satisfy. You are in the safest of hands with our friendly and expert tandem masters who will instruct and support you every step of the way. Safety is our number one priority and our equipment is certified and up-to-date. You get a 15-20 minute scenic flight to jump altitude, 15 or 35 seconds of freefall (depending on the height you choose) and a spectacular ride under canopy with breathtaking views of Caloundra’s pristine beaches, from Bribie Island to Mooloolaba out to Moreton Island and inland to the ancient Glasshouse Mountains, finishing with a soft beach landing. We then transport you back to our centre where you can view the photos and footage of your experience.
