Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common, genetically acquired, life-shortening chronic illness affecting young Australians today. It primarily affects the lungs and the digestive system, however, it also affects a number of other organs and systems.
Up to 60% of children with Cystic Fibrosis in NSW are treated at the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at the Children's Hospital at Westmead every year. Unfortunately government funding simply does not provide everything that the Clinic requires to provide the best possible care, support and research. That’s why your fundraising effort is so important.
The Take A Step For CF Walkathon is a famiy friendly walkathon raising funds for the clinic, and awareness about Cystic Fibrosis. Situated on the scenic coast of NSW, just an hour north of Sydney, the 10k easy walking loop is set along the beautiful waterfront at Woy Woy and surrounds.
