An innocent man was beaten and left for dead on Jericho Road. Two religious types showed their hard hearts on Jericho Road. But the true neighbour was the one who stopped on Jericho Road. In every city and town in NSW, there's a Jericho Road. Places where people are in extreme need. Because they're hungry. Because they have a disability. Because they're lonely. And that's where we get to show the generosity that God has shown us. And that's what we do ... everyday .. and you can be part of that.

Jericho Road is a registered charity and is part of the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales.

On Saturday 7th March 2015 we will be holding our very first fun run, push, walk or ride event .. an event that is accessible to everyone.

There will be three categories of events:

1. The Really Serious People Event: This will be an 8 kilometre self-timed run or ride for those who want a little friendly competition - $30 registration.

2. The More Leisurely Event: This will be a 2 to 4 kilometre track that you can walk, ride, push or run, either by yourself, with your family or with a group - $30 registration.

3. The Cake Walk event: For those who just want to wander for a while ... and then eat cake - $20 registration (includes cake)

A family of 3 or more people can register for $50. And if you've got  group of people interested, you can register as a team and pool your fundraising efforts. If you share your registration through social media you can also get other people to sponsor you for your great race.

We are aiming for a great day out with family and friends that is inclusive of people with all kinds of abilities, as well as enjoy a little light-hearted competition. While the Really Serious People are off sweating, the More Leisurely folk and the Cake Walkers can compete for a best dressed award should they care to enter.

We will not be having stall holders or providing food, but we are running the event at the Parramatta Foreshore Park which is a great place to have a picnic, so bring a rug and a sandwich and enjoy the day.

As well as having some fun, we want to raise some funds for some of Jeircho Road's services that need financial support. These include our Disability Advocate programme, Allowah Presbyterian Children's Hospital in Dundas and our chaplains. You can find our more about these services at www.jerichoroad.org.au
