Utilising your Charity Profile

Connecting to Your Website:

Every charity signed with mycause.com.au has their own branded charity profile page which includes a blurb about the charity, a “donate” button as well as some other donation and fundraising options, and any events running that are connected to the charity. With everything in one place, your charity profile makes it easy for people to support you.

Make it even easier for them by connecting your profile to your website. Make sure your "Get Involved", "Support Us" or "Fundraising" navigation menu button on your website leads to the URL of your charity profile page.

When you have your profile linked to your charity's website, send a confirmation email to admin@mycause.com.au from an official charity email address to initiate an agreed upon lowered commission rate on donations received.

Fundraising Through Your Profile:

Your charity profile has multiple types of “donate” buttons, allowing your supporters to make a once off or regular donation, send a donation gift card or pledge their birthday for you. The profile also includes ideas for fundraising such as “Challenge” and “In Memory” to inspire your supporters to create fundraising campaigns on your behalf.

When someone fundraises for you they can add their own images and text, but your logo and a short description will always be present on the fundraising page.

Rest assured any money raised through any donation or fundraising button on your profile will be dispersed in to the nominated charity bank account you supplied when you signed up with mycause.com.au.

Getting Social:

Your charity profile is online and available for your supporters year-round, but getting them to interact with it and translate to a fundraising campaign or donation can be tricky.

Posting on your social media accounts about the different donation tools and ideas that are available through your profile in preparation for significant times of the year, with a link to your profile, can increase the web traffic and lead to more fundraisers being created.

Posting Calendar:

Here is the mycause.com.au Donation Tool posting calendar suggestion, which states relevant messaging to include based on the tool/idea and time of year.

While it is not necessary to follow this calendar exactly, each donation tool has been placed in correlation with significant times of the year that is most appropriate.
