LOUISE Pickford was told she would never be able to carry a baby to full term but three years ago she defied the odds.
Mrs Pickford, who was born with a congenital heart condition, hopes to again prove anything is possible when she walks 30km for charity this Sunday.
“My cardiologist gave it the OK as long as I trained,” Mrs Pickford, of Clarendon, says.
“I started walking in October and I could only do 1-2km and be absolutely exhausted.
“I know it is possible, but I have a child now and it changes the perception on the risks I take and what I put myself through.”
Mrs Pickford will walk from Mt Lofty to Kingston Park to raise money and awareness for HeartKids and the Fontan Registry.
