Malakai Manyang is only seven months old and has spent every moment of his life in hospital.
Little Malakai has been diagnosed with a very rare disease called Pallister-Killian Syndrome, or PKS. It is because of this syndrome that Malakai needs 24 hour care, with a machine used to help Malakai breathe as he sleeps.
Malakai’s mother, Stacy, spoke to kidspot of her fear for her children and their welfare. Stacy is unable to work while Malakai requires constant care and many of their family members live overseas.
“I’ve never felt this stressed and alone,” Stacy told kidspot.
