Mother of murdered girl Sidney Playford too distraught to return home

After the horrific murder of her youngest daughter Sidney, 6, mother Maria Playford and daughter Juliette, 8 are too traumatised to return to their home.

Sidney was killed in her bedroom early Monday morning by her father, who was charged with murder.

Sidney was a fan of jiu-jitsu and coach John Taylor said that the club had united in their grief for Sidney, Maria and Juliette.

“The family needs their space at the moment but there will be a home at the club when they are ready...we will do everything we can to help.”
