The recent bankruptcy and closure of the picturesque Willows wedding venue has left 64 couples out of pocket. The couples had all booked in dates for their wedding and paid their deposits before the venue closed its doors. Now, they are left looking for new venues for their weddings, but do not have enough money to put down any deposits.
Being very involved in the wedding circuit, Corey Wright and Lachlan Tangas, a wedding photographer and videographer respectively, felt very connected to the many couples who were affected. Wanting to do something to help, they have created a mycause campaign to raise the $323,000 the couples paid in deposits collectively.
Corey, from Corey Wright Photography, and Lachlan, from Tango Films, want to make sure that every couple gets their deposit back and can have the wedding of their dreams.
