MEDIA: Brisbane to Sydney for Muscular Dystrophy Australia
David Blackburn will set off on a 914-kilometre bike ride from Brisbane to Sydney on the 1st of December to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Australia and his brother Peter.
In July of 2017, Peter took himself to the doctor after feeling major restriction of movement in his upper body, and was unfortunately misdiagnosed leading to incorrect treatment for the next few months. Later, after seeing a different doctor and being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, Peter is finally getting more effective treatment, but because his specific type of Muscular Dystrophy is still undiagnosed, his treatments is not as tailored as it should be.
Wanting to help his brother by advancing research in to Muscular Dystrophy, David has challenged himself to complete his interstate ride in two weeks while raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Australia.
