MEDIA: Aussie TV Star Saving Townsville

The recent flooding in Townsville, Queensland has left many families without a home for the time being. With some homes washed away and most others being severely damaged, these families are struggling to afford to fix and rebuild.

So, Neighbours star Chris Milligan has decided to help. Through his flooring business European Hardware, Chris is fundraising to give 20 flood-affected Townsville families brand new timber flooring to repair their homes.

Chris was “born and bred in Queensland and watched [his] friends and family endure the devastating 2011 Brisbane floods, and [he] couldn't sit back and watch [his] fellow Queenslanders in their hour of need."

The star aims to raise $110,000 for the re-flooring projects and every dollar raised will go towards sourcing materials needed to fix up the affected homes.
