Fundraising for friends affected by India's COVID-19 Crisis

India needs our help in fighting its worst wave of COVID-19.

The country has reported 350,000 cases on Monday alone while undergoing shortage of oxygen, medical supplies and hospital beds due to the critical second wave of COVID-19.

With India still battling their worst pandemic crisis, many people are turning to crowdfunding to help provide direct financial support to their friends and family who are in the thick of it.

Radhika (aged 14) and Krishnapriya (aged 10) from Toowoomba (QLD) firmly believe in the age-old Indian teaching ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumkam’, which means that the whole world is but one family.

With their family passionate about giving back, they started a fundraising page to support verified charities in India, raising nearly $15,000!

Local Brighton Le Sands woman, Janine is conquering the hardest deep dive she's ever done (40m) to raise funds for friends from India, Arun and Jobenson, who are both positive for COVID-19. Arun is very ill and is fighting for his life.

Janine met Arun and Jobenson through her community and charity work in India between 2010 – 2014.

Janine says, “My two friends and their families are suffering. Both people, different religions, different regions, have helped many underprivileged people with small businesses and now they need help themselves.” Fundraising page -  www.mycause.com.au/deepdive4india
