Fire victims benefit from our big Ipswich hearts

After a fire destroyed their home and left them with nothing but the clothes on their backs, mother Emma Murphy and her daughter Charlotte have been overwhelmed with support from the Ipswich community.

They have been offered everything from temporary accommodation to white goods and toys.

Fiona Clark, a friend of Emma Murphy who created the mycause campaign page to raise funds after the fire was surprised at how generous people have been to the mother and daughter.

“We have been blown away by everybody’s generosity,” said Clark.

“I cannot believe the community spirit of the people out at Ipswich.”
