Truckie's family rallies for US trip

A TRUCKIE through and through, there isn't a road in the Lockyer Valley Danny Capner hasn't taken.

However, on June 19 last year, life decided to take the 60-year-old down an unexpected and bumpy path.

Mr Capner suffered a massive stroke and has been in hospital since.

"He was actually at work the day of his stroke, his trailer was being unloaded and he fell out of his truck and a forklift driver came to his aid and called the ambulance," daughter Hope Crane said.

Ms Crane said the stroke had left her father paralysed down the right side of his body and mostly wheelchair-bound.
