Blessing bags to be given to Canberra and Queanbeyan homeless and at-risk

Grace Stephenson and her young son Koda, 6, have been raising funds on mycause to create what they call Blessing Bags — bags with basic toiletries for the homeless and at-risk. 

After being homeless twice in her life, Grace knows all too well that tough choices have to be made on a daily basis and survival is paramount when living on the streets.

"They're non-essential items when you don't have anything. Food is a bit more important than toothpaste and proper shampoo," said Grace in an article published on The Age's website.
