Fundraiser creator and dancer, Jessica Murphy says, “So much more than a dance studio, Body Electric is a home for all of us who dream of dancing on stage, a creative outlet beyond the hustle of daily life. It’s a place to connect with people who share our passion... and hopefully one day soon, a glitter-filled on stage performance for our nearest and dearest.”
Body Electric have now turned to fundraising as a means to survive the extended lockdown restrictions.
“We know that these lockdowns have been tough for so many in our community. COVID has taken away so much from us all, so we need to fight to keep the things we love alive and to make sure they’re still there when all this is over,” says Jessica
“All funds raised will go directly to Body Electric Dance Studio’s overheads and running costs. Let’s keep Melbourne body-rolling!”
The fundraising campaign has raised over $14,000 in less than a week and continues to climb with the arts community’s support.
