GAMMA.GIVES

For many of us our childhood years are the best times of our lives, before the burden of responsibilities and trials of adult life. A time when we could afford to spend all our time playing video games or reading comics and not having to worry that our time should be better spent on more important things. A time when all our money could go exclusively to toys rather than bills and we'd love to eat candy instead of a proper meal.


Which is why there are few things we can think of worse than having these precious years taken away from you because you are stricken to a hospital bed due to a childhood sickness or injury. To replace open fields with hospital wards, friends with doctors and TVs with heart monitors and IV Drips.


To try and make this time a little brighter and the Christmas season a little merrier for these kids The GAMMA.CON Society proudly supporting The Canberra Hospital Foundation has started GAMMA.GIVES!
We are reaching out to the pop culture enthusiasts of Canberra; those who strive to play video games at a professional level or those who love nothing more than a quiet meet up, people who attend game stores weekly to tap mana or cast a healing surges, those who consume comics weekly or prefer to draw their own, those who spend months sewing accurate costumes or those who buy a cosplay and parade it in public, those whose rooms are chock full of collectables, DVDs or books and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of every one, we are reaching out to you to donate as much as you can so we can buy all these wonderful products and donate the lot to the Canberra Hospital Children’s Ward.


With your donation we will attempt to purchase:
 

• Hand held gaming consoles with games
• Game consoles with games and accessories
• DVDs (movies, cartoons and anime)
• Board Games
• Comics and Manga
• Sci Fi and Fantasy Books

With your help we can show Australia what big hearts we have and improve the lives of sick kids. Please give as much as you can.
