The Shakers and Breakers netball teams are honoured to be invited to the Grasshoppers Netball Club in Suva for a netball Tournament. They have kindly offered to host us for 3 days of the 7 day tour.
These two netball teams are working hard to fundraise to travel to Fiji in December 2015 on a humanitarian netball tour to play in the Suva Netball Tournament and in schools.
Things the group will be doing:
The players will play netball games with local Fijian schools and take gifts of sports gear, sports clothes and stationary etc.
They will conduct netball clinics for the younger players in the Fijian schools.
They will visit the local Fijian villages to see how they live, help were needed and present them with gifts of sports equipment, clothes and stationery etc.
They will visit the Suva orphanage which will be an eye opener for the girls. We are aware the children rarely have visitors in the weekend. This will be a huge highlight for the orphans. Again we will take gifts and hope to buy some equipment they will need. Something like Duvets, New pillows, desks etc for the children. The things they have are very old.
Treat the orphans to Pizza and ice cream for dinner
Fundraising money will go toward:
Stationary
Sports goods
Equipment for the orphanage
Towards flights, transport and accommodation
