Tara Fiji aims to sustainably develop Fiji in collaboration with a not for profit made by Fijians for Fijians; the Community Support Network (CSN). "Tara" is Fijian for build and represents our goal of building a socially and environmentally sustainable Fiji.
Building In partnership with the CSN, one of the main projects of Tara Fiji is to contribute tools and materials to building a community hall in Korovisilou. We will do this through fundraising and promoting CSN’s voluntourism program for people to help physically build the hall.
Culture Community halls are at the heart of Fijian culture and their sense of community. In this large village of 700 the current hall can only fit 100 people at a time. This hinders the village’s ability to thrive with a strong sense of community. A community hall will aid the village in its ability to thrive and lift individuals out of poverty.
Korovisilou The village is located in between the two main hubs of the island (2 hours out of Nadi). A past CSN project has provided this village with access to clean water.
Your Donations Will empower the community and individuals in this village to thrive. 100% of the donations will go towards the project.
Volunteering Tara Fiji is also presenting the opportunity to volunteer in Fiji through CSN. You will complete the project which Tara Fiji funds while being immersed in the rich culture.
