William is with us today thanks to The Royal Womens Brisbane Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Unit and the Nambour General Hospital Special Care Unit. Nurses cared for him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 77 days. During this time, Ben, Ruby and I were given a room at Ronald McDonald House, which was right next door. Not only were we provided with a room, but also a fridge and cupboard full of complementary food, two cooked meals a week and ENDLESS support. We had a safe and clean place to live where we could be by Williams side 24/7, which was vital for us to fulfil our wish breastfeed him and bond with him as much as possible. In celebration of Williams 1st Birthday, I have created a fundraising page for Ronald McDonald House charities. William has everything he needs, but Ronald McDonald House is always in need donations to keep the house running. This charity page will close on 30th March 2013. Thanks sooooooooooo much!
