I’m a young change maker. I enjoy collecting containers, being part of my local community, meeting new people, recycling and helping the environment. I love being able to help lots of different charity’s and pay forward.
I am homeschooled and started collecting in September 2023. In February 2024 I started my Facebook page Xander the can collector!
2024 I also won The young change maker of the year through containers for change.
For me collecting containers and recycling has helped change my life. I’ve made friends and I get to be a kind caring person by helping others.
I’m saving hard collecting containers to purchase a van to help me be able to keep collecting more and more and pay forward to as many charities as I can.
BUT I need some help achieving this If anyone would like to donate to my cause to help me achieve this goal quicker I would be forever grateful.
In return once I have the van paided for I will be putting everyone who’s supported me name on the back door.
So if your a BUSINESS that wants to jump on board this would be a great way to advertise.
Thanks from me it’s Xander
A message from the can man’s Mum Kristie.
Xander is collecting 5-7 days a week. It is getting extremely hard to continue to do this in our small family car.
For some people it sounds strange a 12 year old wanting a van BUT for our family this is normal.
This is no longer just a hobby - this is becoming Xander’s business and career.
Xander set his goals high and this year is aiming to collect 300,000 containers. He had a business plan. Has worked out how many he needs weekly.
And has his heart set on paying forward over $20,000 this year to charity’s.
Having a van will make collecting easier as we will be able to fit more in the vechile.
I want to say a huge Thank you to everyone who has supported Xander’s adventures. We appreciate you all.
Good luck Xander. You’re an inspiration.
