Paul McClymont, a 45 year old grazier from western Queensland, is challenging himself to run for one whole day to support a great mate and his family. Paul will aim to complete a 24 hour run, starting at 7am on Friday 6th Septmber in Ilfracombe and finishing 7am on Saturday 7th September, hopefully in Barcaldine, Qld.
Inspired by the fortitude and positivity that Ben displays all day - every day - to battle his way back to health and independence from a serious accident in 2023, Paul has decided to put himself through just one hard day, gather a few donations and help the Chandler family.
It's no mean feat training the body to run 24hrs straight but Paul's head is definitely in the game. At the forefront of his mind and a driving factor is his mate Ben Chandler, who he honestly thinks of every time he puts those runners on. Ben is working harder than ever, training each day and getting his head and body in the game to run the last stretch with Paul, and we couldn't be more excited.
EVENT DETAILS: Paul will start running at 7am on Friday 6 September from the centre of Ilfracombe, QLD. The run course will be along the Ilfracombe - Isisford - Barcaldine Rd to steer clear of too much traffic and hopefully finish at the Barcaldine Football Ground around 7am, Saturday 7 September. We will be updating the Run4One Facebook page throughout the 24hrs so keep an eye out for definite times and locations.
