ASRA (Australian Skateboard Racing Association), Skate Australia, and World Skate have chosen 18 top athletes and 5 staff members to represent Australia in Downhill Skateboarding, Street Luge, Inline Downhill, and Slalom, at the World Skate Games 2024 this September in Tortoreto, and Chieti, Italy. As the governing body recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), World Skate oversees skateboarding and roller sports at these competitions.
Australia is sending over a team of athletes comprised of some of the worlds best in all these categories, but as you can imagine the expenses of undertaking such a trip are stacking up, and with no official funding available the team is resorting to funding itself.
Securing local and corporate sponsorships is crucial for our success at the World Skate Games. However, with only three months until the event, obtaining corporate backing has been challenging. To offset expenses like leather suits and race gear($6000 AUD), and accommodation ($6000 AUD), we've launched a MyCause campaign. Additionally, we hope to cover extra costs like flights (approximately $3500 per team member) and various other expenses that come with international travel.
Slalom events will run from September 9-11th, while Downhill and Street Luge competitions will take place from September 17 to 21.
All donations will directly support Team Australia in Italy, enhancing athletic opportunities.
Corporate sponsorships are available and can be discussed by contacting ASRA via:

Thank you for your support in getting us to the World Skate Games representing not only ourselves, but Skate Australia, our country, and you, our support team.
