K's for Keegan

The man himself, Sam Johnson, so graciously gave me a call today. He wanted to let me know he was thinking of my family and I on the anniversary of Keegan's passing. He also wanted to pass on his love to us all. We spoke about the challenge of walking 111km and that 100% of your money that is donated, goes straight to where it needs to go. No skimming, no admin, no bullshit. See, Love Your Sister doesn't touch donations for operational expenses, unlike other charities. For Love Your Sister, 100% means 100%. No fine print.
That's why I'm so motivated to achieve the target. Tonight, I did the biggest walk I've done yet. 6.5km, in the pouring rain to our childhood home where Keegan and I got up to most of our mischief, parties and most fond memories.
Just 27.74km remain in the challenge and will be conquered. To date, I've walked 83.26km.
Only $454 remains to hit our $5,000 goal.
Once again, a heartfelt thank you to all of you for your generous donations, your words of support, for sharing the campaign and being all round legends!!

I'd love to start off by saying a heartfelt Thank you to all who have donated so far throughout this campaign. When setting a target of $5,000, I thought I was being rather ambitious, however with your generous support, we're only $500 away from achieving this.
As you may have seen on my Facebook page, I've been walking everyday. Only a couple days off (life gets in the way)
I've walked through immense pain with a huge blister, intense heat, wind and rain. It has to be done. It's so important to me that the mission of walking 111km is accomplished. Which is why I'm incredibly proud to advise that as of tonight, I've walked 77km, leaving 34km to go!
All your kind donations, words of support and encouragement are greatly appreciated and I can't wait to finish this campaign off strong in just 9 days.
This week, I received a call from Love Your Sister who are also very greatful for your support and have cheered me on to get the job done. It's critical. For all cancer patients. To act now and fund precision medicine to ensure they have a better chance of survival.
Tomorrow marks 1 year since Keegan's passing, and I hope throughout this month, I've been able to do his legacy justice by reminding people of the incredible person he was and also keep his memory alive.
As Keegan always said; Rule 32. "Enjoy the little things."
