My name is Ben I’m 11 years old and I live in Woodend. My Grandfather recently got diagnosed with terminal stage 4 brain cancer while they were holidaying in Canada. My pa, Jeff Trevaskis is the best he loves teaching Maths at Greater Shepparton Secondary College. He is really kind and polite, he’s very funny, helpful, and he loves the Collingwood magpies.
I really want to support him and help find a cure for other people so they can go on to live beautiful lives, so I’ve decided I am going to shave my hair off to donate and raise money for brain cancer research.
I am shaving my hair off instead of raising money a different way because my pa shaved his hair off because he was losing his hair quickly, from the chemo and radiation therapy.
I know for some shaving their hair off can be scary or confronting and I don’t know how I feel about it either, but I think fighting brain cancer and any type of cancer is more important than how I look.
All donations go directly to WEHI, The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (ABN 12 004 251 423).

Thank you. From Ben.
UPDATE - 14th Nov, 2023:
Hi Everyone, I have now braved the shave!
Thank you for all your support, look at how much we have raised together! With your help we have raised so much and I hope to raise even more.
The Walter and Eliza Institute have invited Pa and me to go on a tour soon which I am so excited about. I get to see the Labs and experiments and see where they work on finding a cure.
Thank you,
From Ben.
Every bit helps.
