Dave here. I am a paramedic in Tasmania and over the next two months will be travelling to Ukraine to volunteer, assisting some of those most affected by the ongoing conflict there.
I will be working in Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Kherson and surrounding areas undertaking medical care, evacuations and training in support of medical crises generated by the war. I will be wholly providing humanitarian care, with no military action.
Irrespective of financial assistance, I will fly to and from Poland, train into and around Ukraine and provide my own accommodation and living expenses.
But if you would like to support me, I am seeking assistance with the travel costs I will be personally incurring (~AUS$8,000) and medical supply donations to NGOs. My initial target is AUS$5000 is to partly offset travel and living, and provide medical assistance to one or more NGO.
Thank you for considering, and very kind regards, Dave Brown
Good on ya Dave. Stay safe
