I'm reaching out to the community asking for your support to assist to send my friends daughter to school. Dechhen's dad Nima Norbu Sherpa, was a beautiful caring man, who gave so much to his community and to all the clients that were privileged enough to trek with him. Unfortunately Nima died too young and has left his young wife and families to care for his daughter. Dechhen and her mum live in Kathmandu, her mum works very hard as a chef. Although Covid has hit their lifestyle hard, with tourists unable to travel to Nepal causing financial hardship to so many. All funds raised will go directly to Dechhens mum to support Dechhen's education. An education in Nepal offers so much hope for a brighter future. Thank you for your kind and generous support. Nima was an amazing, knowledgeable and caring guide who I had the pleasure to meet when I joined the Annapurna trek (along with a Christine) that he led in 2018. His love for his family, the mountains was just so apparent. I’d like to donate to help Dechhen and her mother, Laxmi, during these difficult times as a token of the high regard I have for Nima. Bless his soul.
