Chris Bowles CanAssist Tumut to Wagga Run

We are running from Tumut Hospital to Wagga Hospital - 110km.

Access to cancer treatment is very difficult for regional communities. In Tumut and surrounding townships, to attend cancer therapy often involves a 200km + round trip to Wagga Wagga.

CanAssist Tumut provides support for local patients in many ways and most importantly in terms of travel assitance to much needed therapy in Wagga Wagga.

Our team aims to fundraise for CanAssist Tumut as well as raise awareness of the Challenge a regional cancer patient may face.

Later in 2023 Members of our team will set out to Run / walk from Tumut Hospital to Wagga Wagga Hospital. This symbolises a regular commute cancer patients are often making over 3 times /week. This distance is approximately 110km each way.

Imagine travelling 700km a week for cancer therapy whilst suffering from cancer and recieving chemo/radio therapy.

We aim to help Can Assist reduce this burden for as many people as we can by raising funds to help.
