Welcome to Team “Rise and Shine” and thank you for visiting our fundraising page for BulldustNBack 2023!
On September 14th Scott & Wayne will set off on a four-day motoring adventure through WA's Southwest, to raise funds and awareness for the Kids’ Cancer Project.
Inspired by Scott’s son Spencer who at the age of two was diagnosed with “Anaplastic Ependymoma” which is an aggressive brain tumour/cancer, we have decided to join this year’s event to support this amazing cause.
Spencers’ 2016 consisted of almost 9 months of Treatments and lifesaving surgery to his Brian. Including Radiation Treatment and Chemotherapy.
A gruelling period that no person deserves, especially not a child.
Currently Nil Evidence of Disease, Spencer is almost 10 years old and continues to inspire us every day. With the side effects of surgery, treatments, follow up scans and appointments a daily reminder of his journey.
Motivated by Spencer, his amazing friends and the families we have met and shared this journey with, we have decided to once again join BULLDUSTNBACK to raise funds for the Kids Cancer Project. An amazing organisation whose mission is, “To support bold science that has the greatest chance of clinical success to improve childhood cancer treatments.” Together with their long-term vision “to see a one hundred per cent survival rate for children with cancer while eradicating the harmful impacts treatment can bring.” Founder Col Reynolds “My promise is to never give up until every child survives cancer with minimal or no long-term effects.”
We vow to “Rise up and Shine” for the kids currently fighting this disease and the many more that will inevitably endure similar battles. Please dig deep and donate to support this cause that effect so many children.
