Over 4 million Aussies have an allergy or anaphylaxis. That's a shocking figure!
My son has anaphylaxis to wheat, rye, barley, and nuts.
The first sign of a severe reaction is tingling on his tongue. Then, he develops welts all over his body, his breathing gets restricted, and then it's a life-saving Epi-pen, a trip in an ambulance, and then a stay in hospital. It's awful.
May is allergy awareness month. So, I want to do something to raise awareness of the severity of the condition, raise money for research into a cure, and get people talking.
The idea is for people to film themselves putting a 9 VOLT battery on their tongue, donate, share it on socials, and nominate/tag at least three friends and make this thing go viral!
PS Let's keep it to 18+ people. It's not dangerous, but at least let's keep it to people old enough to think it through a smidge :)
