I'm riding my wheelchair around Australia to raise funds to build a cutting edge Rehab Centre for spinal Patients who have to spend their rehabilitation living in a hospital ward away from their families. Which can be anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. I was in the same ward 30 years ago and nothing has changed. There is nowhere for family or friends to stay or be involved in the rehabilitation process after such a life changing incident.
Bevan Kearsley suffered a spinal injury during a motorcycle accident over 30 years ago that left him a paraplegic.
Now is he riding his 150cc wheelchair scooter around Australia to raise money for a rehabilitation centre for spinal patients and bring awareness to accessible tourism.

Thanks for your time and sharing your story Bevan! You're doing an awesome thing and have helped me realise how much we are lacking in spinal support and rehabilition for paralysis inducing conditions in Australia.
