Gday I'm Brian, a 33 year old from Australia.. I'm the primary carer for my mum which I receive government payments of $1300 per fortnight for which makes it hard to build up money for repairs, I help with the shopping, cooking cleaning, traveling to doctors appointments, yard work, and alot more. I have an unexpected transmission rebuild needed on my vehicle which we use for everything, I had a mobile mechanic try to qoute me $7-$8k but I have made phone calls and managed to be quoted $3300 for repairs, I also need a new battery ($220) and to register it ($180) in order to legally be able to slowly drive it into the repairer. Which brings the total needed to $3700 I have managed to save $2.8k but still a little short in order to get everything sorted out.
