A couple of years ago tim and I walked 100km in 35 hours, it was an amazing experience and challenge and we are up for another!
We can’t think of a more challenging commitment than this next one..
For anyone that knows Tim and I well, you would know how we are partial to a wine or two million! Love us a whisky ? or a gin ? to celebrate ? commiserate ? or obliterate ????
So, you would know how taking on a challenge to stop drinking alcohol for a period of 12 months seems a rather impossible task!…. Well, we are up for it and on January 1 we start living an alcohol free life for 12 months!
How can you support us?
To help keep us going we want to put it out there to you all, keep us accountable and get your support throughout the year! Hey, you might even want to jump on board and join us for a challenge. You don’t have to commit to a year, commit to weekend, a week, a month! Coming along side with us for even a short time is a massive support! You could Jump in for Feb Fast, SRBF May-tivation, Dry July or Sober October!?
You may already be enjoying an AF lifestyle, if that’s you please also join us you might have some great advice to share!
We have created a private Facebook group to record our year and we invite anyone who’d like to jump in with us to send us a private message and we will add you to the group. Even if you just want to follow our journey. We can support eachother and have some fun along the way!
We are under no illusion this is no easy challenge for us booze loving hounds so we are taking the opportunity to raise a few $$ for our charity Saba Rose Button Foundation. Each month we will share our progress and invite you to commit to making a small donation for each month that we are successful. That support as well as helping so many families with special needs children reach much needed access to financial support and rehabilitation facilities and encourages us to keep on cracking on!!
The Saba Rose Button Foundation assists additional needs children in accessing intensive rehabilitation, therapy, specialised equipment and respite/care in Western Australia. The SRBF works hard to provide opportunities for children with additional needs to reach their full potential.
