About
The Women’s Justice Network and Bri Lee are crowdfunding to run a year of book club programs for women inside New South Wales correctional facilities. Engaging and educational opportunities like this are wonderfully beneficial for reducing recidivism, and these book clubs will be run by WJN members who have experience of incarceration themselves. This is an exciting new stage of the Freadom Inside initiative that has already seen more than $30,000 worth of books bought and donated to correctional libraries.
If you donate $50 or more and would like a thank you card (with artwork and message from a woman or girl inside) sent out to you, please email admin[at]wjn.org.au with your postal address. The WJN office will be closed from 24 December 2022 to 6 January 2023.
WJN is a grassroots community organisation committed to advancing the prospects and wellbeing of women and girls affected by or at risk from the criminal justice system.
