Lochend Stud has been left devastated by the recent floods in NSW. Conducted by the Paul & Sharon Carmody, the farm, which has been in the family for over 60 years has been nearly wiped out. The Carmody's home has also been virtually destroyed, their stables, stallion boxes, AI shed and laboratory have suffered widespread damage, so much so they are not sure if they will be able to stand their stallions Modern Art & Village Jolt this year. They have also lost a substantial amount of hay and feed which had been set aside for the broodmares throughout spring and summer. Lochend Stud has been in existence since 1973 and as it is located in a floodplain there is no insurance. Everyone who knows the Carmody's know they are genuine hard working people. We are asking for your support to help Paul & Sharon get their farm & home back to a useable level in time for this years breeding season.
