In July I'll be competing in the 10km running event at Run Melbourne. My goal is to complete the 10km in under 42 mins, and in doing so I'm hoping to raise some funds for an organistation very close to my family and I.
In August 2021 my sister in law Sunny Clemesha having just celebrated her 40th birthday sadly lost her short battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband and 2 beautiful young kids, aged just 8 and 4. Solaris Cancer Care looked after her during her 15 month battle, and continue to do good work assisting thousands of West Australians in dealing with this horrible disease. Having reached out to Solaris we discussed how the funds will be used, and we have agreed on providing support to families via their Complementary Integrated Therapy, which was very helpful for Sunny and her young family during her battle. Each session costs approx $58 and isn't government funded so please dig deep and help out these incredibly brave people and their families and give them some positivity around managing and living with their condition. Great way to pay it forward.
My fundraising goal is to provide 50 treatments for patients who otherwise would not be able to access this great service.
