About

Hi everyone,
On 2nd February 2018 Violette was born and had suffered meconium aspiration. She hadn't swallowed her meconium in the birth canal, she inhaled it. We were told it was touch and go, but thankfully because of Caboolture Maternity and Mater Hospital, Violette is okay and with us still.
Unfortunately, due to the antibiotics and morphine she was given in the first few days of life, her little baby teeth suffered and caused them to lose the strength of her enamel. When Violette was 2, during the pandemic, she needed her first dental surgery that cost $7500 but thankfully, we were able to take money out of our super due to the covid clause.
Unfortunately, as she still had teeth erupting, some teeth were unable to be helped and they have since erupted and are falling apart due to the lack of enamel. She has 3 back teeth that are needing to either be removed or be crowned, and this is going to cost a lot again.
I contacted my super again and was told since this isn't 'life threatening' I am unable to withdraw any super. Despite the fact these teeth could cause serious infection if not fixed.
The dentist herself is charging around $1500 for the surgery, but then there are hospital and anaesthetist fees. $4000 would cover the lot including parking at the hospital and any associated fees with the day.
I hate to ask for help in this scenario, but at the moment I am not working and am relying on government support and rent is half of my income. Her father is also struggling finding accommodation and only has a limited income as well.
