Cheryl and I are going to do the SSS Challenge for Scleroderma Australia to raise awareness and much needed funds for those living with Scleroderma.
The SSS challenge includes three things starting with S, and they are:
- Sit-ups
- Squats
- Skipping
With every dollar that is raised, both Cheryl and I will complete a combination of Sit-ups, Squats and Skipping, to the same value.
So, if we raise $500, we will complete a combination of 500 Sit-ups, Squats and Skipping.
If we raise $1000 we will complete a combination of 1000 Sit-Ups, Squats and Skipping.
The more you donate, the harder Cheryl and I will have to work, but it is all for a good cause.
So, please dig deep, spread the word and get others to donate to this amazing cause. If you are unable to donate, please send us through all the motivation you have, we will need it.
We will raise money up until the 29th June which is World Scleroderma Day. Once we have the amount raised, we will be completing the challenge.
Scleroderma Australia relies on generous donations from individuals and organisations like yours to continue our work to boost awareness, engage community support, and raise vital research funds to support some 6,000 Australians living with Scleroderma.
Scleroderma can be life-threatening and shortens life expectancy by more than 20 years. More than 6,000 people live with the condition in Australia, and women are seven times more likely to develop scleroderma than men. There’s currently no cure for scleroderma, but Australia is at the forefront of international research.
Never heard of it?
• Scleroderma means “hard skin”
• It’s a condition that 6,000 Australians live with
• Women are 7 times more likely to experience scleroderma
Also, June is World Scleroderma Month, and this year we are lighting up more than 80 iconic Australian landmarks in golden light (#ShineLikeASunflower) to raise awareness of scleroderma.
