Rhett is an ambitious and hardworking kid full of adventure, optimism and enthusiasm for life. With a love of many outdoor adventures, a strong commitment to a number of both indoor and outdoor sporting activities whilst also having a strong work ethic, Rhett has been working in one way or another since the age of 7.
For the past 12 mths Rhett has been working hard as a 1st year apprentice carpenter and has been saving his money to be able to purchase his own vehicle and was able to purchase a very modest and practical hilux ute approximately 4 mths ago. He was very excited about getting his license in 5 weeks time and having his independence and looking forward to getting himself to and from work and getting out on some solo outdoor adventures!
Recently his hopes and dreams were shattered by senseless thieves who took it upon themselves to steal his car from the front of his family's property in Eudlo QLD and it has not been seen since 3rd February with 2 young boys driving it and plates removed.
Due to the exorbitant costs of insurance for young drivers the vehicle was only covered for third party. So obviously not covered for theft.
I am putting a call out to our local and wider community to help restore this young mans faith in humanity. He paid $3000 for this car and I would love to see if we can raise close to that to either replace his stolen car before he is due to get his license, or do whatever repairs may need to be done to his original car if it happens to be found and maybe have enough to purchase comprehensive insurance.
Don't let the bstrds get you down! Keep up the good work! Keep your chin up. Hope this turns into a positive for you and you either get your ute back and can buy tools with this funding or can replace your ute. Good luck.
