On 3 November 2021, we found out the devastating news that Cooper (our 13-year-old son, brother, grandchild, nephew, cousin and mate), was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) which has caused a tumour on his spine.
Due to the severity, Cooper had to be flown by air ambulance to Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney some 600kms from his home in Nyngan NSW to start treatment immediately. He has already received his first lot of chemotherapy.
It is utterly incomprehensible and beyond devastating that he has been struck by this cruel disease.
Cooper (the trooper that he is), is expected to spend at least the next 6 months in hospital so doctors can try to get a hold on it.
Cooper’s parents, John and Diane are not ones to ask for help, but the gruelling nature of this cancer means they are unable to work as they support Cooper through the various stages of treatment. Yet, their bills and expenses will still continue to mount.
All funds, will go to John and Diane Wynne to assist with the cost of medical treatment, travel and accommodation so the family can focus their energies on the fight ahead.
Any donation big or small would be such a massive help to them.
Sending lots of hugs
